Monthly Membership Meetings

You are most welcome to join us at our next monthly association gathering.  Unless otherwise noted, our meetings take place in the Parish Hall at The Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church located at 800 Columbia Road.

 

Our meetings are held at 7:00PM on the third Tuesday of each month, with the exception of the summer months of July and August during which no meetings are scheduled.

Please kindly note, monthly Membership meetings resume Tuesday, 17 September 2019 after the summer recess.

When you become a Member at this meeting, you will have the right to vote on resident-initiated items on the agenda at the next meeting.

 

Annual membership dues are only $5.00 or $10.00, at your discretion, and proof of residency within Association boundries will be needed to qualify your enrollment and membership. Please refer to Member-approved Association By-Laws for residency requirements. 

 

Your annual membership commences the month in which you pay your dues and is valid for twelve (12) months.  After the twelve (12) month period, your membership automatically expires. 

 

You are welcome to re-new your membership on or before the twelfth (12th) month to ensure you have no interruption in your voting rights.

Executive Board Election

So far Association Members have nominated eight candidates for the nine position Executive Board.  The nominees include incumbents Matt McAloon, Christine McCarrick, Michael McColgan, Melissa Raynor, Millie Rooney and Travis Stewart as well as first time nominee Alina Morris, proprietor of DJ’s Market, and former  Executive Board member Priscilla Flannery of Roseclair Street.

Proposal for development at 3 Dorset Street

Property owner Joseph McCarron will be at this meeting to request the support of the Membership for his proposal to remove the existing single-family dwelling and build a four-unit residential building with indoor parking spots.

 

This will be a voting item.

 
Proposal for changes to 69 Roseclair Street

Property owner Larry Wenlin will be at this meeting to request the support of the Membership for his proposal to convert the existing two-family dwelling to a three-family dwelling.

 

This will be a voting item.

 

Projects under review by the zoning committee

Under review will be 110-114 Buttonwood Street.  Next zoning meeting is Wednesday, 9th July 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Carpenter's Center, 750 Dorchester Avenue

 

Police reports

Officer Sean Sullivan of Boston Police District C-6, Officer Michael Keaney of Boston Police District C-11, and possibly a representative of the Massachusetts State Police, Station H-6, will give reports on activities affecting our neighborhood.
